Master Dan Walthers

Master Dan Walthers was inducted into the
United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame on August 4, 2007 and on
July 23, 2011 He was promoted to O-Dan, 5th Dan in December of 2007. He studied martial arts
as a teenager but did not become a serious student until his mid 30's. He has been
a TKA Black Belt and an instructor for the Ed White Middle School Do Jang for
over ten years. In 2008 he took over the reigns as lead instructor of
the Ed White Do Jang from Grandmaster Thompson. Dan is an avid bicyclist and has served for several years on the board of directors for the Windcrest Little League, Windcrest Optimist Club, and on the Boards of the Society of Broadcast Engineers in both Oklahoma City, Ok and San Antonio, Texas. He is also the TKA Web Master. Dan and his late wife, Regina, were married in 1979. Dan is Director of Engineering for Clear Channel Radio's Corporate Cluster in San Antonio, Texas. |
