Ector Troncoso

I began training in 1977 in San Angelo, Texas at the Martial Arts Academy under the instruction of James Cummings. From 1979 to 1983 I competed in tournaments in the AOK circuit around west and central Texas. I received my black belt in 1985 from Master James Cummings and George Howard. I was an assistant instructor at the YMCA with George Howard. I was there from 1990-1994. I became head instructor following Master Howard's departure in 1994. 

I have Tang Soo Do classes and I teach Kickboxing.  I average about 40 students in the Martial Arts Academy in San Angelo.  I really enjoy teaching Tang Soo Do and Kickboxing. I hope to continue to learn more about the art and to teach the art to those who want to learn.

Ector Troncoso became Master Troncoso December 8, 2001 at the 7th annual TKA World Conference. 

In 2005 Master Troncoso was presented with the Hall of Fame Magazine Action Award for his 25 years in the martial arts.  (See San Angelo Standard Times article.)
